Pakistani Senior Marketing Manager (Client Company in Texas, USA)

The Case & Challenge

The applicant, a Pakistani Senior Marketing Manager, applied for Spain’s Digital Nomad Visa from within Spain based on his remote contract with a textile sourcing company registered in Texas, USA. His contract, signed in December 2024, set a fixed monthly salary of $3,500 and named his home or another agreed remote location as his place of work.

On January 29, 2026, UGE issued a five-part requerimiento, giving 10 days to respond. It asked for:

• A new apostille on the company’s commercial registry certificate, showing the signature of the issuing official, with a sworn translation, to prove the company had at least one year of real and continuous activity
• A letter from the company expressly authorizing remote work from Spain, stating the role, main duties, that the work can be done remotely, and the salary in euros
• A translated bank certificate covering the last three months, with payments clearly identifiable as coming from the company
• Translated invoices for the three months before the application
• Proof of self-employed registration in his country of origin, or an accepted equivalent, apostilled and sworn translated

The Strategy & Solution

We handled each point separately. We arranged a new apostille for the US company registration so UGE could clearly verify the issuing official’s signature, and had it sworn translated into Spanish.

We obtained a new authorization letter from the company, signed and stamped, confirming his role as Senior Marketing Manager, that all his duties can be carried out remotely, and his monthly salary of $3,500 (about €2,972). A sworn translator in Spain translated it.

We also submitted the translated bank certificate and invoices, making sure each monthly payment could be matched to the company, together with apostilled and translated evidence of his self-employed status.

The Outcome

The response resolved every point, and the application was approved on February 12, 2026, just two weeks after the requerimiento.

The applicant received his Initial Residence Authorization for International Teleworkers, valid until February 11, 2029.

This case shows that a requerimiento covering several issues at once can still be resolved quickly when each point is answered precisely, with correctly apostilled and translated documents.
