Redacted Digital Nomad Visa approval resolution for Saint Kitts and Nevis–Pakistani Digital Marketing Officer (Client Company in Pakistan)
Approval resolution shared as supporting evidence for this client outcome.

The Case & Challenge

The applicant is a dual national of Saint Kitts and Nevis and Pakistan who applied for Spain’s Digital Nomad residence authorization using his Saint Kitts and Nevis passport. He works remotely as a digital marketing officer for a company in Pakistan.

He does not hold a degree, so the application relied on proof of relevant professional experience instead. His company’s experience certificate documented four years of full-time work as a marketing officer, from June 2021 through May 2025, followed by continued work under an independent remote services agreement from June 2025.

His current arrangement is an independent professional contract, not an employment relationship. His work includes digital marketing strategy, social media management, content creation, online advertising, brand promotion, customer engagement, lead generation, and analytics reporting. The company expressly authorized him to perform these duties remotely from Spain.

The Strategy & Solution

The supporting documents included the remote services agreement, the company’s remote-work authorization, its apostilled and sworn-translated certificate of incorporation showing incorporation in March 2021, and the company-issued experience certificate with its sworn Spanish translation.

The experience certificate connected his earlier full-time marketing work to his current digital marketing services. However, UGE requested additional official evidence of the professional experience used in place of a degree.

The Requerimiento: Official Proof of Experience

UGE issued a requerimiento dated August 7, 2026 concerning proof of experience equivalent to higher education. It requested an employment-history record or equivalent issued by the competent authority demonstrating at least three years of experience and matching the company experience letters.

Alternatively, the request allowed a professional certificate issued by the competent authority. It specified that the certificate needed the appropriate apostille and a sworn Spanish translation. The concern was therefore not simply the absence of a degree: UGE wanted the alternative experience route supported by official documentation.

In a response dated August 18, 2026, we addressed that point with an experience/professional certificate issued by the Technical Education & Vocational Training Authority (TEVTA), Government of Punjab, Pakistan. The response identified the accompanying apostille/legalization documentation and sworn Spanish translation and explained that the certificate specifically answered the request for proof of professional experience.

The Outcome

The application was approved on August 20, 2026, the signing date recorded in the official signature report. The residence authorization is valid until August 18, 2029. The story’s publication date follows the signed approval date, rather than a date inferred from the permit’s expiry.

The approval records Saint Kitts and Nevis as the applicant’s nationality, consistent with the passport used for the application. His Pakistani nationality is included here as part of his dual-nationality background, not as the passport under which the residence application was filed.

This case shows that an applicant without a degree can obtain approval through properly documented professional experience. A company letter may need additional official evidence when UGE requests it; answering the precise requerimiento with the accepted type of certificate helped bring this application to a successful outcome. Each case is assessed individually, and this result does not guarantee approval in another application.
